Instructions for getting the most out of the map of gluten-free restaurants in the world

In this map you will find all the gluten-free restaurants where we have eaten since 2015. Here are a few tips to get the most out of this tool we’ve created.

First of all, the icons (they are quite easy):

  • The restaurants marked with the Gluten Free Adventures logo are the gluten free restaurants where we have eaten without any problem.
  • Restaurants marked with a red symbol are the restaurants where we have been glutened. You can see all these restaurants in the section “Adventures with gluten“. Luckily, there are very few!

If you are viewing the map from your mobile phone (if you are using a computer or a tablet, you will find the information below):

  1. Use two fingers to move the map up, down or sideways.
  2. To zoom in or out of a certain area, do the same gesture you would do to zoom in or out on an image.
  3. Once you have found the restaurant you are interested in, tab on the GLUTEN FREE ADVENTURES logo.
  4. On the left, the restaurant details will be displayed.
  5. In this file you will find the name of the restaurant in a red stripe. Below, the contact details and, at the end, the most important!, a link to the review we wrote about our experience there.
  6. To return to the map, click on the white arrow on the left, in the red stripe.
  7. If you want the phone to guide you to the restaurant, at the top right, in the red strip, you will find a white rhombus with a red arrow inside.
  8. If you want to use the map search engine, you will have to maximize it. To do this, with just one finger, move the map to the left. At the top right, you will find a box. When you click there, the map will open directly in Google Maps.
  9. Once there, you can type in the search bar the name of the restaurant on which we have written about.
  10. Once you have located it, click on the GLUTEN FREE ADVENTURES logo.
  11. At the bottom of the phone, you will see, minimized, the same card that we explained in point 4 and 5. If you click on the button “Directions”, you will be taken to the restaurant.

P.S.: Please keep in mind that in this blog I share my trips, anecdotes and experiences about gluten free travel around the world. It is possible that, in any of my trips, I go to some restaurant not trained by the associations where the risk of being contaminated with gluten exists. I kindly ask you to also take into account that the list of references can change. Please, always double check before eating in the restaurants we recommend. Thank you very much!
